We are a group of Scottish healthcare professionals with a specific interest in lipids. Our aims are to further lipid research, provide education about how to use lipid results and to promote evidence based, cost effective lipid treatments. Our aim is, as SHARP, to reduce cardiovascular disease.

The Scottish Lipid Forum holds its annual educational meeting every November, as part of the SHARP annual meeting. Attendees come from all areas including Consultants running Lipid services, such as myself in NHS Highland, specialist GPs, pharmacists, clinical scientists in genetics, academic researchers, paediatricians and more. Any health professional keen to know more about lipids is welcome.
