SHARP Research Grant 2026 – Call Now Open

We are delighted to announce that the SHARP Research Grant 2026 call is now open. This funding will support up to two major national collaborative clinical research projects in Cardiovascular Disease conducted across Scotland.
Please note that this opportunity is open to SHARP members only.
We envisage that successful applications will be investigator-initiated proposals, with funding of up to £30,000 per project and a delivery timescale of up to 36 months.
The last time this scheme was offered was in 2023, and we are pleased to see those funded projects now nearing completion. We look forward to sharing further updates on their outcomes in due course and to supporting the next wave of impactful collaborative research.
Applications will be invited through a national competitive process, advertised widely and administered via the SHARP office. All submissions will undergo peer review by SHARP Trustees and, where appropriate, additional subject experts. Proposals will be assessed on the importance of the research question, scientific excellence, clinical utility and applicability of outputs, overall impact and educational opportunity.
