Scottish Heart and Arterial Risk Prevention (SHARP) are inviting healthcare students from Scottish Universities to apply for a summer studentship programme funding. The aim of this funding is to enable medical students to undertake clinical or pre-clinical research in any area of Cardiovascular Medicine during the summer break and in so doing, develop academically and strengthen their career prospects in. A bursary of £1,600 will be available for each recipient. Project duration may exceed the summer vacation period. However, the funding per award is fixed. Scholarships are not intended to fund a student’s normal degree course (e.g., BMSc). For this year (2023), applications for funding ongoing projects that require additional funding will also be accepted. The closing time/date for 2024 applications is 5pm Thursday 25th April 2024.
